Inmaculada Montoya Castilla is a Full Professor in the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments at the University of Valencia. She is a Gestalt Psychotherapist and is qualified as a General Health Psychologist. She is currently Director of the Master’s Degree in » Psicoterapia y Psicología Clínica: estrategias actuales de intervención «, at the University of Valencia. She is a professor in the Psychology degree and in different official and own masters. She is PI of the research group Educating in Emotions in Childhood and Adolescence (EMINA group); secretary of the Scientific Society for the Advancement of Clinical Psychology and Child and Adolescent Health (Red Infancia); and member of the Network of Universities for Childhood and Adolescence (RUIA).

Remedios González Barrón

Honorary University Lecturer
Remedios González Barrón is an Honorary University Lecturer in the Department of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatments in the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Valencia. Her teaching has focused on clinical child and adolescent psychology. In recent decades she has held various positions such as Vice-Dean of Practicum, Coordinator of the Diploma in Speech Therapy, President of the Ibero-American Association of Psychological Diagnosis and Evaluation and Vice-President and Director of its journal. She has also been a member of different commissions at the University. She has done research on different topics in childhood, adolescence and adult population (emotions, prosocial behaviour, school coexistence, hospitalisation, intervention programmes, among others). The objectives have focused on determining the risk profiles in the subjects studied. The research has been funded by organisations through public calls for proposals. She has also collaborated with other national and international institutions. She has published her work in high-impact journals and presentations at national and international congresses, as well as teaching and dissemination books and book chapters.

Marián Pérez Marín

Marian Pérez Marín is a Full Professor in the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments at the Universitat de València. Prestigious national-European clinical accreditations: Psychotherapist, Family Therapist, Expert Psychologist in Psycho-oncology and Psychology in Palliative Care, Teaching Collaborator in Family Therapy, EMDR Clinician, EMDR Consultant-Teaching Supervisor, EMDR Facilitator and General Health Psychologist. She teaches subjects in the field of clinical and health psychology in doctoral courses and in several official Masters in different Spanish centres. Her research in health sciences shows the benefits of prevention and treatment programmes to prevent or mitigate illness and the need for the implementation of educational and health protocols.

Associate Professor PhD
Amparo Cotolí Crespo is Associate Professor at the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments of the University of Valencia. She is a Clinical Psychologist, specialized in Child and Adolescent Therapy. She is currently co-director of the Postgraduate Degree: University Expert in Mindful Eating, at the University of Valencia. She teaches the subject Psychology in the degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Assistant Professor PhD
Konstanze Schoeps, has received a Master’s degree in General Health Psychology in 2014 and the PhD degree in Psychology Research (special award) from the University of Valencia, Spain in 2019. Since 2020, she has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments at the University of Valencia. She specializes in working with school teachers to develop social-emotional skills to prevent burnout syndrome and improve well-being and mental health. Further lines of her research address cyberbullying and online risk behavior in adolescents. Dr. Schoeps has designed and implemented the MADEMO program (Manual de Educación Emocional para Docentes) which was published in Pirámide in 2021.

Selene Valero Moreno

Assistant Professor PhD
Selene Valero-Moreno is a PhD in Psychology, a general health psychologist, program manager of the Scientific Society Red Infancia and member of the EMINA group. She is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Valencia, where she is conducting and implementing her main research and faculty work. Her main line of research is the assessment and intervention with people with chronic illness and their caregivers, especially oriented to the paediatric population. Her interests include psychosocial factors in rare paediatric diseases and she is currently collaborating in the implementation of a chronic disease intervention programme TenVida.

José Antonio Gil Gómez holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). He is currently University Professor at the UPV and Deputy Director of Research at the University Institute for Research in Automatics and Industrial Informatics (ai2). His main line of research focuses on the application of technologies to the field of Health. Within this field it is worth mentioning his collaboration in two areas: Psychology and Rehabilitation. In this field he has more than 20 years of experience, having participated in more than 50 R+D+i projects financed in regional, national and European calls.

José Antonio Lozano Quilis holds a PhD in Computer Science from the UPV, where he is a lecturer attached to the DSIC. Since 1996 his research work has specialised in Virtual Reality applied to the treatment of Psychological Disorders, and Cognitive and Motor Rehabilitation. This work has been carried out by participating in more than 20 research projects, and has resulted in the publication of more than 10 articles in journals included in the Journal Citation Report, and in the presentation of more than 40 papers at various conferences. He is currently a member of the ai2 institute.

Silvia Postigo is a general health psychologist and therapist at No-dos Valencia (terapianodal.com). She is currently a professor at the European University of Valencia and researcher. Collaborating in the EMINA group, she has participated in the design and development of the PREDEMA program of Emotional Education for adolescents, as well as in the design and development of emoTIC, a socio-emotional intervention program for adolescents through new technologies. Her main line of research is identity in its various facets, emotional intelligence and positive development at all stages of life.

Estefanía Mónaco Gerónimo is PhD in Psychology, general health psychologist and a psychotherapist with a gestalt approach. She is currently a researcher in the EMINA group at the University of Valencia. Her main line of research is attachment, emotional education and well-being in the romantic couple. Usue De la Barrera Marzal is PhD in Psychology and is a member of the EMINA group. Her main area of research focuses on the assessment and promotion of emotional competence, well-being and mental health in adolescence. She collaborates in the development of emoTIC and emoTIC SPACE, two technological platforms designed for the promotion of social-emotional competences and mental health in adolescence. She has also participated in the implementation of emotional education programs for high school teachers and university students with the aim of promoting emotional skills and well-being.

Postdoctoral Researcher
Alicia Carrión Plaza is PhD in Psychology Research from the Universitat de València and in collaboration with the Universitat Politècnica de València. With more than 5 years of experience in multidisciplinary research projects at a national and international level, she has specialised in the Human-Computer Interaction discipline. Currently, she collaborates with the EMINA group and works as a researcher in the Impact-VR lab at Sheffield Hallam University. Her main line of research focuses on developing and evaluating Virtual Reality (VR) mediated interventions for the improvement of clinical conditions such as acute pain and physical rehabilitation.

Lucas Serrano is a psychologist and expert in addictions. He is currently a collaborator of the EMINA group and a pre-doctoral researcher at the Universitat de València. He has combined clinical practice with research in the field of social and health care. He has worked as a psychologist in the field of addictions where he has intervened with adults and conducted prevention programmes in the adolescent population. His main line of research focuses on prevention and intervention in addictive behaviour, especially in the child-affective aspects, attachment, trauma, emotional regulation and the functionality of problematic behaviour.

Arcadio de Jesús Cardona is a psychologist and holds degrees in pedagogy, theology, and philosophy. He currently works as director of protection centers for children and adolescents in vulnerability, with antisocial behavior problems, and drug use. His work is mainly oriented to preventing mental health problems in adolescents and the intervention of families, children, and adolescents with violation of rights, drug use, abandonment, and conflict with the law.

Predoctoral Researcher
Marta Cañero is a general health psychologist and Gestalt therapist. She is a collaborator of the EMINA group and is currently working on her doctoral studies in the Psychology Research Program. Her line of research focuses on the process of construction of gender identities and mental health of the LGTBIQA+ population. On the other hand, she is founder and co-director of the health center MARISMA Psicología, where she works as a psychotherapist, while managing her own project, Kairos Psicoterapia. She is a teacher in public and private entities, in the field of affective-sexual and gender diversity. Finally, she is the secretary of the working group on Affirmative Psychology LGTBIQA+ in the Official College of Psychology of the Valencian Community.

Postdoctoral Researcher
Ana Soto-Rubio has a PhD in psychology. She is a general health psychologist and specialist in psycho-oncology and palliative care. She is currently a researcher and teacher at the University of Valencia through a postdoctoral contract funded by the Generalitat Valenciana and the European Social Fund. Her main line of research is Health Psychology and the importance of the attention of emotional needs of patients and their families. She has worked on the development of interventions to address these needs (spiritual, reduce caregiver burden, reduce emotional distress in the patient-caregiver dyad, among others). Her current research is focused on compassionate care in the health care setting.

Alejandro Ferrer has a degree in psychology, health psychologist and family and couple psychotherapist (systemic-relational). He currently works as a psychologist in charge of the area of psychology in the community and as a psychologist-psychotherapist in private practice. He also coordinates the working group on affirmative psychology LGTBIQA+ of the Official College of Psychology of the Valencian Community. He is currently a collaborator of the EMINA group and Predoctoral Researcher at the University of Valencia. His main line of research is the affective-sexual and gender diversity in relation to mental health in the LGTBIQA+ collective and their families.
